The Newton launch sits on Commonwealth Avenue right where the Charles widens out. Hourly rentals cover kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddleboards, with staff on the dock to get first-timers moving in the right direction.

Paddle upstream toward Wellesley for near-total quiet, or downstream past Norumbega for the classic postcard view. Lessons and guided sunset paddles run midweek in summer.
