4.8(356)Grand Victorians, Shingle Style porches and Colonial Revivals on Newton’s most photogenic hill.
West Newton Hill has one of the densest concentrations of great 19th-century domestic architecture in Greater Boston — Queen Anne turrets, Shingle Style sweeps, and a few genuinely important Colonial Revival houses.
A loop up Highland Street and back down Otis takes about an hour. It is entirely a public-sidewalk activity; please admire from the street. Best in late October.
